Marriage Minute November 11, 2018
The prophet Hosea found that he couldn’t fix or change his spouse. We can’t change anyone else either. But we can control the way we respond to others that are unlovable, disloyal and unfaithful. We can choose to “HESED” love them, as God shows to us. We need to show them God’s love by being faithful, loyal and loving.

There are many attributes and names of God. One praiseworthy name, “Faithful God” in Hebrew is called אלוהים נאמן Ha’El hanne’eman

Deuteronomy 7:9 says, “Know therefore that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His lovingkindness to a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments. “

We are commanded by Scripture to know God. The God of the Bible is a faithful God. He keeps His promises, His word, His commitments because that is who He is.

When we don’t keep our word or our commitments, we are not showing or acting faithfully like God our Father.
Prayer: Lord, help us to always keep our word, commitments, and vows. Help us to be faithful like You are. Help us not to say things we don’t mean and can’t fulfill. Help us to do our best, and by your strength, to be faithful.
